Björn Rudolph

5th Dan Shotokan Karate

Björn Rudolph

Karate coach at IMAG Berlin e.V., training since 1993.

Björn began training back in 1993 and is one of the most experienced martial arts teachers at IMAG Berlin e.V. Today he holds the 5th Dan in Shotokan Karate and took his gradings under renowned masters: I. Jorga (1st and 2nd Dan), H. Nishiyama (3rd Dan), and A. Rokah (4th and 5th Dan).

With extensive experience at national and international championships, Björn has a long list of achievements to his name, including a bronze medal at the 2006 ETKF European Championships in Przezów, Poland, as well as further bronze medals at the 2006 ITKF World Championships in Saskatoon, Canada, and in 2008 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Björn has been passing on his knowledge of Shotokan Karate since the age of 16, in the tradition of H. Nishiyama and his student A. Rokah. He is also active as a certified group fitness instructor and health sports instructor, with a particular focus on prevention, posture, and movement.

Alongside karate, Björn has also trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Hilti BJJ Berlin since 2018, where he holds a brown belt. His Jiu-Jitsu is very technical, with a clear focus on kimuras — anyone rolling with him should keep an eye on their arm.
